our wood project

 kia Ora bloggers Today I finished my project.

Which was called a caddy. 

So first we had to do the measurements which i could not remember.

Then we created it by measuring how much we were not going to need.

After that we glued and nailed our sides to the bottom of our project.

Then we glued and nailed our front sides to our project.

Finally we put our handle into our project.

We were able to engrave our name on our project but i decided not to.

sustainability project

 kia Ora blogger Today we finished our sustainability projects.

So on Monday week 7 we started our projects I started with tinker cad but that did not work out so I went onto gamefroot where you can make your own game that your friends can play.

I made a gamefroot about sustainability If our world died and no living plant was around and whatever humans that were left turned into shambling zombies.Because of a modified version of rabies.

My success was  how i was hard working on it.

My challenges would be to take more time on it.

I think I a great job on it.

In health we were set a task to choose 5 big questions and answered them.Then we made a create based on our topic which was kidney cancer.

  

So we did two we did the first one witch I nailed it the post was called discovery task.

I made a kahoot for our second one and I think that i nailed it again.

I made it 11 questions I love doing it because the second one was a composition and i have only three stickers well two because I just need to show the create before I win 

It felt great competing with the rest of the class because it got the adrenaline pumping.

It was challenging when I did the create task because i thought i would not be able to do it.

I did well because i was finished before anyone else was.

i coped with it because i kept thinking if i focus i would get it done.

So on Tuesday we made smoothies we first made the smoothie then we went around the room and tried the other groups smoothies.

Here is what I thought

 kia Ora blogger Today I have done a cool thing for you to read.

So Today we finished off our essay.

We first started off going to the library and reading a book.

My book was called new Zealand changing biodiversity.

Then we got to work here is my essay.

Endangered birds and how we can fix it 

This essay you are reading yes you.This is about how we make different native and common birds of new zealand near extinction.

We cut down trees to make wood to then make houses.

It is a constant cycle,it is a vicious cycle.

We should stop cutting down too many trees and start planting them 

Then cutting them down 

Causes 

The moa and haast eagles onced flourished in new zealand before the moari came and hunted them.This has affected the real world with native birds.

We hunted moas for food and used their eggs as cups for milk.

The haast’s eagle 3,000-4,500 of population before extinction.

Moa’s on the other hand have no known number of animals before maori settlers came.

impacts/consequences 

If this continues we could loss native birds because we have many endangered birds like the kakapo kiwi takahe NZ fairy tern black robin

 These birds are native to us. We need to stop killing them.

Native birds are what makes new Zealand new Zealand.Same with the people we both make a mix of how new Zealand is how it is so beautiful.

Solution’s 

We could stop destroying forests for the native birds to live in.

We could stop hunting them because they are beautiful and are native and part of life.Because they are beautiful and magnificent.When we think of beautiful wildlife we think of birds when we think descendants of dinosaurs we think of birds.When you go for a walk and hear the tweets in the trees that's real but if they die out and you think of the tweets that's not real that is you remembering them and that is real but it is also not real.We need to stop cutting trees down and start planting them and help native birds stay alive.

 Conclusion 

So in conclusion cutting down trees can hurt our native birds and our environment.Humans think that nature will heal but it won’t it will but not that fast.

So we need to help nature heal like plant trees not cut them down

So in conclusion we should not cut down trees because it hurts nature we should help by planting trees instead of cutting them down.

The class had got to wait a week before we got to do the heart dissection.

By the time we cut open the heart I got pretty unconformable.

So i took a couple of days to make it and i fell proud of it.

rice paper spring rolls

 kia Ora bloggers Today We made a rice paper spring roll.

So today we are starting cooking and we cooked a rice paper spring roll 

The recipe is 

12 rice paper sheets 

1/2 avocado sliced 

1/2 cup coriander chopped roughly

1/2 capsicum sliced finely 

1 carrot sliced finely

1/4 cucumber sliced finely 

1 cup lettuce sliced finely 

1/2 cup bean sprouts 

1/4 cup peanuts roasted and chopped 

1/2 cup cooked chicken sliced 

It tasted soooo good with the ingredients above but without  the roasted peanuts and chicken

But one of my spring rolls did not stick shut and I had to eat it bit by bit.

The method is as below 

1.place all the ingredients into a separate bowl.

2.half fill a shallow dish with water.The dish needs to be big 

enough to fit the rice paper sheets.

3.dip the rice paper sheets into the cold water and lay them out on a clean chopping board or bench top and let them soften for a minute

4.place your selection of fillings in the middle of the softened 

sheets.

5.fold the two sides of the rice paper sheet towards the 

middle 

6. roll carefully into a cylinder shape.repeat for the other sheets 

7. using a wet knife cut into 2cm slices 

8. serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve

So it was great because we did not use chicken because we were doing it for a different dish.

But it was great all together.

film study colour and lighting

 kia Ora bloggers Today I have got something amazing.

So we watched a video about colour and lighting from coraline.

This is what I think about the colour and lighting 

In coraline the real world is dull not bright and has natural light .

Where as the other world has bright colors and lighting then It goes green black white.

When coraline escapes the other mother and back to the real world the colors are warm bright and natural.

The real world has just bland dull and not so bright colors like grey.

Where as the other world is just amazing bright colors.

This starts to happen when the button eyes are offered.

When we first see the real world it has dull lighting cold colors and it has natural light.

The pink palace is dull and not so pink.It is more dull and not bright and pink as the name says.

The natural light is more like the light dentists use.The world is just terrible.

The other world is just great it has bright colors it has artificial light because the world is fake.

The world is amazing with awesome food awesome stuff and games.The world is just fun to be in but 

coraline does not know that it is fake It is better then the real world and coraline just wants to stay there.

after her final encounter with the other mother the real world turns into the other worlds colors the real 

world is bright and warm colors and has more natural light and more better stuff like she gets the gloves she wanted.

In the end she got what she wanted and lived knowing be careful what you wish for.

So there i was near a wound there were alot of bacteria around the wound so I eradicate the immediate threat by consuming it and telling the others what the antibodies are then we eradicate the threat and found the person who did it and that's my job but the point is we then recognize the antibodies and become immune to it like chicken pox.We are just the best in the business.We are good at our job.I never stop doing this because it is a fun job and we are amazing at it.

apple crumble

 kia Ora bloggers on Tuesday we made apple crumble.

So we made apple crumble it was goooooooood.

here is the recipe and method :

1/2 c flour 

1/2-3/4 t cinnamon

1/2 c brown sugar (not packed)

75 g cold butter (cut into small cubes)

2-3 medium sized apples (cooking apples e.g. granny smith work well)

1 D white sugar 

1 T water

rolled oats 

apple sauce 

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

method 

1.put flour,cinnamon and brown sugar into a medium bowl.

2.rub butter lightly into the flour mixture.

3.add ro

unfortunately I don't have the rest of the method Sorry.

The team worked well really well.

The apple crumble was great and the apples were well cooked.

my hand

 kia Ora bloggers Today I have made something.

I made a paper hand with string so it would look like a

 hand that has tendons to make the fingers move.

The class got to work making a perfectly accurate real life hand.

step 1 cut out the hand and get a pair of scissors,two straws.

step 2 cut the straws to make bones in your hands and tap them to your hand.

step 3 grab a needle and thread and put it through.

step 4 continue step three with each fingers.

So my hand does not have step 3 because it was a bit difficult.

This shows my work because I understand how a human hand works.

kia Ora bloggers Today was our first practical.So here is what the ingredients were.

Lettuce 

tomato 

ham 

carrot 

a variety of sauces and humus.

So how we did it was grate the carrot cheese.Cut up the ham.Then cut 1 cm away from the edge.

We were given lettuce and stuffed it with the foods.We then could use sauce in the pocket too.

So the group worked well one slip up but other then that we did great.It was gooooood. You can use whatever you want but thats what we used.Did you do one?If so then what did you use?

our woodwork project

So we started making them we first used a plane to make the edges smooth.

Then we used the belt sander to sand the top parts round.

Then we drilled and counter sync holes in them.

Our period today we tied the string in and tried them out outside.

my amazing creative writing

kia Ora bloggers Today I am going to share my creative writing.

so we did creative writing and i did mine amazingly.

here is what i wrote here is the image too.

The boy was walking down the ally but he heard a dreadful sound.

A toe claw clicking on the hard cold concrete.

He smelt the awful smell of decay of death.

He turned around and saw it 1.6 feet at the hips.

Rows of sharp dagger like teeth with bits of its last meal it was a sight to behold. It walked as delicate as a bird.

He turned back around and fast walking but suddenly felt like something shoved him to the ground.He felt the animals teeth dig into his back.

He turned around as he was dying because the animal was still eating him but a sound startled it and before he died he saw a big blue stripe.

That was one more fatality for the same mysterious animal The general said.

Find out where it came from before more happens The colonel said.

The animal has come from the Lockwood estate just last night as another says dinosaurs as a raptor was there that fits the description.

Ingen international genetics incorporated the people who created that park back in 93.

They have to find them all.Then he heard a static on the radio general we have the rex it's at the zoo but big helicopters with a blue ingen logo on it are here already.

making a battery out of a lemon

kia Ora bloggers today we are making a battery from a lemon.

Method:

Get some copper and zinc. 

Grab a volt meter and wire 

get a lemon 

stick the wire copper and zinc into the lemon and watch the meter go up.

Its because of the citric acid in the lemon and the copper and zinc reacting to the citric acid.

so you have learned about how to use a lemon instead of a potato.

For the second time I have read the first Jurassic park novel.

It was amazing the deaths the setting it was all great.

On a remote island scientist have recreated dinosaurs.
a adventure 65 million years. 

What happens is some people go to an 

island where dinosaurs come back from extinction.

Form modern science they can't breed in the wild.

It all goes into chaos people die some survive and the island 

gets blown up by the costa rican government.

Its amazing with so much going on different dinosaurs and everything

so there you have it you should read Jurassic park

cannabis referendum 2020

kia Ora bloggers Today the class has been talking about the cannabis referendum and if cannabis can become legal.So in the general election we have two referendum cannabis and the end of life referendum.

The government is going to make it legal if over 50% vote yes.But will stay illegal if over 50%vote no.

I would vote no because people could do more than 2-4 plants of cannabis grown each household.
