"sahib "sahib" I think that the author wrote it in this way was because he choose to.The effect this had on the reader was to challenge them to learn what it means
“Kali -- goddess of destruction -- rules” is an example of an ALLUSION (a reference to mythology, another text, historical event or person). Why did the author include this allusion in his writing? What is the effect of this on the reader? because it is referencing to Hindu mythology and it impacts the reader by saying that the god of destruction is doing what she does best
